About
The Loudoun Historic Village Alliance (LVHA) was formed in March 2019 to provide villages with a strong and unified voice on issues of joint interest or concern.
Initially it mobilized to ensure that the 2019 Loudoun Comprehensive Plan retained and enhanced policies important to retention of village character. Following adoption of the new Plan, it has worked to ensure that the Zoning Ordinance and other supporting documents include language to ensure that the goals of the Plan are achieved.
Currently LHVA is focused on working with county staff to ensure that the upcoming Small Area Plan process for the villages is well structured, professionally guided, and expedited, so that each of our villages secures a plan that captures their unique visions and needs.
The Alliance is specifically focused on addressing concerns of traffic, encroaching development, zoning enforcement, water and sewer, proposed construction of public buildings, and the periodic pressure from the Loudoun County Public School system to close small Western Loudoun schools.
It meets monthly. If you have a question or concern regarding a Loudoun village, please contact us.
